The Captain
Captain Dawson is a U.S. Coast Guard licensed Master Captain and member of the Solomon’s Charter Captain’s Association, Maryland Watermen’s Association and the Maryland Saltwater Sportfishermen’s Association. Having been raised on the Chesapeake Bay and worked on the water both commercially and recreationally, he is very knowledgeable about where, when and how to catch the fish that will put a smile on your face. Captain Dawson has been fishing out of Solomon’s since he relocated here from southern Anne Arundel County in 2001 and is the owner of The Jenny Rie. Prior to 2001 Captain Dawson worked on boats out of Deale and Edgewater Maryland. He has fished the Chesapeake for over 30 years and is skilled in all types of fishing, and his only goal is to catch the Big ones for you, his customers. When he is not taking out a party or spending time with his family, he spends his time fishing for Rockfish, Blues, Spanish Mackerel, Flounder, Croaker, Black Drum, Perch and Spot so he can stay current on all the hot spots to assure you the best possible trip available. Captain Dawson specializes in small groups of six or less so you get the special attention you deserve.
